Ear Training Class
Ages 6- Adult

In Ear Training you will learn how to accurately recognize, imagine, remember, and notate musical sounds, while gaining the ability to read music notation.

Learn how to identify chords, intervals, rhythms, time signatures, scales, cadences and other musical elements by ear.

Areas of study include solfège, sight singing, and musical dictation

Music Theory Class
Ages 6- Adult
Music theory examines the elements that construct a piece of music, including notation, key signatures, time signatures, and chord progressions.
Music theory is a fundamental tenet of a balanced music education.

Learning music theory allows musicians to recognize patterns in music and become fluent readers of notated music.
Learning how to do harmonic and formal analysis of musical pieces will enhance the experience of playing on any musical instrument

Study scale steps, musical forms, chords and intervals, harmonic progressions, key signatures, modulations, compositional styles and more.

MUSIC APPRECIATION
AGES 6 to 18
In Music Appreciation, students will recognize the development of music from a historical and cultural perspective. Students will study the fundamentals of music and discover basic music terminology, instrument families, tempo, rhythm, form and meter.
MUSIC HISTORY
AGES 8-adult
Learn about the lives and works of composers representing different historical periods and world cultures. Deepen your connection with music, build musicality, and become better performers while connecting with other students and building important life skills.
